Maths Library United States Grade 5 Grade 5 math, age 10 to 11 In Grade 5, pupils achieve fluency with multi-digit multiplication and divide multi-digit whole numbers using standard algorithms. A major focus is expanding the fraction system to include addition and subtraction with unlike denominators, as well as multiplying and dividing fractions. Students also perform operations on decimals to hundredths, calculate volume of rectangular prisms, and graph points on the coordinate plane.
