Kindergarten math, age 5 to 6

In Kindergarten, students focus on developing a strong foundation in whole numbers by counting sets, comparing quantities, and understanding addition and subtraction within 10. They explore foundational place value by composing and decomposing teen numbers into ten ones and additional ones. Students also identify and describe two- and three-dimensional shapes and compare measurable attributes of everyday objects.
